A brief History

Australian singer-songwriter Rosaline Yuen is a versatile performer and storyteller whose unique sound is difficult to pigeonhole. Tinkering on her piano with band on stage, she can take you journey from sweetly soulful jazz inspired songs of longing to quirky, rhythmic and slightly tipsy pop-rock that will have you on your feet. Since 2005, Rosaline has performed at some of Melbourne’s finest music venues and at events such as the Human Rights Arts & Film Festival (2008). In 2008, Rosaline released her debut EP Garden worldwide through her own indie label thirtysixbird and Green/MGM. Garden received a wealth of glowing reviews with predictions this could be the beginning of a fruitful career ahead. In 2009, Rosaline collaborated with band members; drummer Ian Kitney (Tim Rogers, Rebecca Barnard), guitarist Adam Thwaites and bassist Chris Schurmann, to release a limited edition Promotional Sampler. Recorded in a little room above the Forum Theatre and at Ian’s home studio in Preston were three new songs. These songs have received airplay on stations such as RRR, Syn FM (high rotation), Joy FM and 3CR.
